Peppery Salad and Rice – recipe
I accidentally added too much pepper to my salad dressing the other day, I must have subconsciously thought I was seasoning and piece of chicken or something along those lines. Surprisingly it came out tasting really yummy, and the left over dressing, I just mixed with my rice and it added a nice extra “umpf” to the rice.
Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 teaspoon dry Oregan
1/2 teaspoon dry Parsley
1 Tablespoon diced Red Onion
2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoon of Brandy Wine Vinegar
3 Tablespoons of Hazelnut Oil
Directions:
Mix together all dry ingredients a the bottom of your salad bowl, add onion and vinegars; mix well. Whisk in hazelnut oil. Then, add your salad ingredients and toss. Or, add to plain white rice and mix well.
Makes enough dressing for a 4-6 serving salad.
