Cheese Steak Sandwiches – recipe

Published by myamii at 6:00 am under Entire Meals, Meats & Seafoods, Sandwiches

The other day we somehow ended up with extras from a few different meals. We had extra hot dog buns, extra bell pepper, extra onion, and extra “cheese” (you know…that reconstituted stuff).

So not to throw anything away, I decided to buy some beef and whip out some of my homemade ketchup and make some cheese steak sandwiches.

I doubt these are anything close to the original. In fact, I’ve had cheese steak sandwiches in Philadelphia these were no where close. But, they were good and we did enjoy them.

I followed my own basic recipe (here), but had to use strips of meat instead of thinly sliced meat, American cheese for provologn, and hot dog buns instead of a large baguette cut in half.

My site was nominated for Best Food Blog!
