Reisstomaten – Tear Tomatoes

Published by myamii at 6:00 am under Food Images w/o Recipes

I’d like to introduce you to a unique tomato growing in my garden this year.

In German it’s called a Reisstomate – which translates to tear tomato because you can, literally, tear off pieces of the tomato. They are like having a larger tomato made-up of a cluster of cherry tomatoes.

They’re fun to eat and nice and sweet :)

Great-looking tomatoes! It looks like tomato season is going to be too short for us here, so I’m living vicariously through other people’s tomatoes.

No, Tear Tomato would be “Reisstomate”, Reisetomate means “travel tomato”.
