Taste&Create III – T&C October Round-Up

Published by myamii at 6:00 am under Taste&Create

All submissions for October’s Taste&Create are finally in! And, everyone was punctual – thank you!
Before we get to all the great posts…

I’d like to announce T&C III.

What it’s all about: community, sharing, tasting, and blogging.

This is a gathering point for the food-blogger community to come and have their recipes tested by their peers.
How you can T&C:

  1. Leave a COMMENT by October 31st, 2007, and include:
    • your name
    • the name of your blog
    • your blog’s address
    • your email address
  2. I will email you by November 3rd with your partner’s info, and I will edit this post and put up the partners list at the bottom (like last time).
  3. You will:
    • Browse through your partner’s yummy blog entries, and pick out one dish that looks really interesting to you
    • Create the dish you’ve chosen
    • Taste it and tell us what you think (aka – blog about it)!
    • Don’t forget you have to include a photo – so snap away!
  4. Email your entry by November 18th, 2007 with
    • your name
    • the name of your blog
    • the name of the dish you created on your partner’s blog
    • your permalink
    • 1 photo of your re-creation
    • sum up the dish in 1 phrase
    • send your emails to: myamii@rezimo.com
  5. In your post please include a link to this post and/or include the T&C logo, so we can get the word out and have others join in the fun.
  6. Your personal blog entry doesn’t have to be in English, but please make sure that your “summed up phrase” is.

As I have mentioned before, I I am unable to submit this event to Is My Blog Burning – the submission form will not work because my computer bounces around on the internet and does not give its own location – for privacy reasons (and I cannot change it)! And, the “back-up” option to send an email does not work either, so my event doesn’t show up. If one of you signing up next time has the possibility to submit events to Is My Blog Burning, I would appreciate the help, just contact me ahead of time so 20 people doesn’t submit the same event!
Now, to the good stuff!!

This is what we came up with this month:

&

Brilynn from Jumbo Empanadas cheated and made 2 dishes (I forgive you, I know it’s hard to chose sometimes! :) – better more than less!). She blogged about Taste and Tell’s Chocolate Coconut Sorbet and Sweet and Spicy Wings. Brilynn says “The Sweet and Spicy wings are definitely a winner, I’ll be making this recipe again and again!”

Valerie from More Than Burnt Toast blogged about Whisks & Needles’ Goat Cheese & Sun-Dried Tomato Stuffed Chicken Breasts. Valerie says “The dish looks and tastes delicious!!! It was the perfect ending for the Thanksgiving long weekend!!!”.

Brooke from …and a cookie for dessert blogged about For the Love of Food’s Apple (no raspberry) Pie. Brooke says “This pie was easy, delicious and a great comfort food treat for a fall day.”

Sara from Whisks & Needles blogged about More Than Burnt Toast’s Spiced Chicken Skewers with Raita. Sara says “A wonderful, complex combination of spices and textures.”

Abby from Plate Tectonics blogged about Other People’s Food’s “Pan-Fried Chicken with Oregano-Buttered Beans”. Abby says “Warm, bright, healthy and amazingly easy — perfect for a worknight dinner or brown bag leftovers”.

Abby from Confabulation in the Kitchen blogged about Sushi Day’s Tempura. Abby says “Tempura was a great new dish for my husband and I to try, and I look forward to trying it with shrimp someday, too!”

Allison from Sushi Day blogged about Confabulation in the Kitchen’s Orange Cupcakes. Allison says “Super yummy, and with the addition of lemon frosting and dried mango decorations, they didn’t last long!”

Deborah from Taste and Tell blogged about Jumbo Empanadas’ Bri’s Not So Mini Cinnamon Swirl Chocolate Chip Bundt Cakes. Deborah says “**I actually like the big ones better because they are not as high maintenance as the small ones!!!”

Katie from Other People’s Food blogged about Plate Tectonics’ No Knead WW Dinner Rolls. Katie says it was “comforting”.

Nicole (I) from For the Love of Food blogged about …and a cookie for dessert’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Nicole says “I was absolutely giddy, and it tasted great!”.
