Quick Homemade Salsa – recipe
I made this really really quick salsa the other day with some items I found in my refrigerator. I was really impressed how delicious it was – did I do that??
Ingredients:
400 grams canned Whole Tomatoes, discard juices
1/2 a small Red Onion, quartered
2 cloves of Garlic
1 Jalapeño, seeded and quartered
1/4-1/2 teaspoon Citric Acid (granular)*
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 teaspoon Cumin
Directions:
In a food processor slowly pulse tomatoes, onion, and garlic until chunky. Then, stir in the rest of the ingredients. Adjust as you see fit.
Makes 2 Cups Salsa.
*I used granular citric acid to give it that nice lemon/citrus/lime flavor without the added liquid that ruins the consistency. If want to use a lemon or lime, be my guest, it will just be more liquidy.

that’s some beautiful and fresh-looking salsa! i could (and would) eat it with a spoon!
