Blue Crusted Buffalo Crumble Pizza – six recipes – Project Foodblog Challenge #5

Please click here to vote for me now!

We really like pizza around here. Back when I only had one kid, we used to make pizza all the time. Now, I have a second child and not as much time during the day to make my favorite homemade pizza dough. So, when Foodbuzz asked us to put our own spin on pizza for Project Foodblog’s fifth challenge, I was happy to get baking again.

I decided to make a pizza that revolved around two of my favorite ingredients: chicken wings and ranch dressing, but not in a form that you would normally suspect.

5 Minute Goat Cheese Tortilla Pizza – recipe

So, 5 o’clock rolled around and I didn’t even realize it. Usually, we’re all sitting at the dinner table at that point and eating. But, since I had been preping my bathroom for painting that I was going to do the next day, I lost track of time. With everyone hungry, I had to think quickly.

We had tortillas from the night before when I made hummus, and my husband Googled “simple pizza sauce” and found a fantastic recipe, and the tortilla pizza was born.

They were a really big hit, and we’re made them a few times now and are in love with how quickly they are to make and how good they taste. Continue Reading »

Roasted Eggplant and Caramelized Onion Pizza – recipe – Taste&Create

For this month’s Taste&Create I was partnered with Natalie from Perrys’ Plate. I’m really excited to have met Natalie through her blog because it seems we have a few things in common and seem to have similar culinary taste.

I found quite a few recipes that I wanted to make from her site, but because of time constraints I decided on making her Roasted Eggplant and Caramelized Onion Pizza. Continue Reading »

Homemade Cheese Pizza – recipe

Published by myamii under Entire Meals, Pizza, Vegetarian

The other day I had some cheese to use up. So, I decided to make a pizza and accidentally came up with my favorite cheese pizza!

I followed my basic recipe here, but instead of just using Gouda cheese, so sprinkled on some shredded cheddar cheese and some dry oregano on top.

When I was in high school and lived in Texas there was a pizza place in my neighborhood that made pizzas that tasted just like this. Who knew I could recreate it at home with such ease!!

Hawaii Pizza – recipe

Published by myamii under Entire Meals, Pizza

This is another favorite pizza of mine. I’m not sure is Hawaii Pizza is “traditionally” made with ham or bacon (or neither for that matter).

I like mine with bacon, but my husband likes it with ham, so I opted for ham this time around.

Sombrero Pizza – recipe

Published by myamii under Entire Meals, Pizza, Tex-Mex

My husband had the great idea of making this pizza the other day. It’s his toppings recipe, and it was quite yummy.

The egg is the top of the sombrero and the corn and kidney beans denote that it’s Mexican (in Germany). Anything with kidney beans and corn in Germany is classified as Mexican, but I can’t complain, it’s tasty.

Homemade Bacon Cheese Burger Pizza – recipe

We kind of had a pizza-week this week – pizza for 3 days in a row. Needless to say, my husband was elated. This time I wanted to try something really really different when it came to pizza. I was skeptical at first. Not only did I succeed, but it is the best pizza (in my opinion) that I have made so far.

I wanted it to taste like a cheese burger but have the “feel” of a pizza. So, I nixed the idea of a traditional pizza sauce and went for a traditional burger sauce…and it came out tasting like a barbecued cheeseburger – held like a pizza.

You just have to trust me on this one… Continue Reading »
