To All My Readers:
This is a long over due explanation: I will explain in more detail bellow, but first – Taste&Create for September is a bit late, but Min from The Bad Girl’s Kitchen will be helping me with Taste&Create in October, so please send her your October requests for Taste&Create.
So, this may turn out to be a long story… Continue Reading »

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for my disappearance from the blog world – especially to my Taste&Create people. I have been cut off from the digital world for the past few days. I will be back soon. To those who signed up for Taste&Create for September, I am very sorry for the delay. I will try to get a partner list out to you asap (maybe in a day or two) – more explanation (with photos) will follow too
Happy cold September from Germany.

I kept inquiring about how they made it and I slowly got more details. They casually mentioned that it only had some lemon juice, olive oil, and that was it. Then, after I asked about why it tasted like piece of lemon peel on top of the fish, it was revealed that they use a seasoned salt as well. But, what seasoned salt is not packed with a gagillion different spices?? What which one of them has grated lemon peel in it??
After further inquiry, this is what I found: Continue Reading »

So, as I said yesterday, I am trying out some new recipes – or new constellations of old recipes – for my future house warming party. You can never be prepared too far in advance (yes, I am already making Thanksgiving plans…and I am late – I usually have it all planned out by mid August!).
This time, I decided to take something that has some amazing flavor and turn into into a sort of finger food. Continue Reading »

My son trying to blow bubbles.
My husband’s cousin’s daughter was visiting her grandparents (my husband’s aunt and uncle) and her and my son just got along really well. It was so cute. She took him in like her little brother and did everything for him.

My little guy was so busy playing and running around and learning new things that he was so tired by the end of the day and would sleep so soundly that we were actually able to get a good night’s rest. It was the best 2 days vacation we have had since visiting with our family in Texas. Continue Reading »

So, we flew through Paris because we always try to fly with Air France. They are really great with children and have great play areas/play grounds in their air ports to keep the little ones busy while waiting for your flight.
We always seem to fly through around lunch time. And, I’d like to share with you what just over 18 1/2 Euros can buy you: Continue Reading »

Just a quick preview:
-we visited with friends
-we visited with family
-we saw my husband’s childhood homes
-we ate many different places
-we saw a few farmers’ markets
-we went to the zoo twice
-I walked about 7-8 miles each day (and had no feet pain – I love my shoes!)
-we took lots of pictures
-we went shopping
-we didn’t cook a single meal for 10 days – I am so happy to be back in my kitchen!
-but, I learned some great new recipes and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Ok, so I have lots (and I really mean lots) of emails to read through, comments to read and answer, photos, to process, websites to get back on track, and a Taste&Create recipe/post to make/write.
It is going to be a chaotic 2 weeks, so please bare with me – we will be finishing renovations sometime in the first week of September, getting a couch delivered shortly after, and my brother is coming to visit us!

I’d like to thank Jescel from the Spice fo Life for this award!
I also have the honor to pass this award on to other bloggers who have inspired me over the years with their great recipes, beautiful photography, and tips that have helped me improve my blog. For those of you who are not listed here, I could only list six…but, trust me, I am inspired by so many of you each and every day. Continue Reading »
